Sundial1669 viewsMy mum gave me a brass sundial plate for christmas so I had to make a stand for it. Again I've gone for a favourite motif... fern leaves and fronds

Hope springs eternal...1661 viewsSmall statue using flowing theme. When I was carving this the expression ' like getting blood from a stone' kept coming to mind, but I thought that was a bit yucky so I've named it something more hopeful and positive.
Stands 350mm tall

dark side of the moon.jpg
Dark side of the Moon1653 viewsOK. I admit it. Pink Floyd did come to mind several times when I was making this. Another of my 'weird phase' as my husband puts it... But I had fun making it.
Four pieces pinned together standing about 1.5metres tall.

The Answer1648 viewsI was thinking about grass blowing around in the wind when I was carving this one and then half way through I under went a slight change of mind... deciding that it would be too busy with lots of swaying lines all over it. So I went for a smooth contrast. So this one I feel is very tactile. You can run you fingers along the wavy lines and then enjoy the cool smoothness of the central core.
Stand 600mm high plus 100mm base (SOLD)

spikey sea-shell1646 viewsI actually dug a spikey shell out of our garden and have no idea how it got here so far from the sea. This is what gave me the idea for this statue which is slightly modified to allow for strength. I really like the contrast between the soft curves and the viscious looking spikes.

Through the looking glass (Complete)1641 viewsFinally after many months this statue is finally together. Murray thinks its the beginning of my 'crazy' stage. But I like it. It's fun and it makes me smile.
I've decided I want to keep this one so sorry its not for sale.

A dangerous point of view1634 viewsAnother of my 'looking through' series. With dangerous, almost lethal spikes or claws guard the organic, blobby viewing portal.
Three pieces pinned together. Total 1320mm tall.
